New Brunswick’s 2025 Immigration Activity

As of October 2025, New Brunswick has issued 3,589 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.

Originally, the province received 1,500 nomination allocations for 2025. However, in June 2025, New Brunswick successfully negotiated an additional 1,500 nomination spaces, raising its total annual allocation to 3,000.

The number of invitations issued usually exceeds the number of nomination spots to account for applicants who decline, withdraw, or fail to meet eligibility criteria.

Due to processing times for both the nomination and permanent residence applications, some nominations issued in 2025 will count toward the landing targets of 2026.

Next Steps After Receiving an Invitation

Once a candidate receives an Invitation to Apply (ITA), they can submit a complete application to the New Brunswick provincial government.
If the application meets all program requirements, the province will issue a nomination certificate.

This provincial nomination allows the candidate to apply to the federal government for permanent residence (PR) under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
