Why Priority Sectors and Occupations Matter
Only employers within the identified priority sectors can become designated employers.
For foreign workers, this means:
You must have a job offer in an eligible occupation.
Your employer must be in a priority sector and designated by Claresholm’s Economic Development Committee (EDC).
Applicants must also meet RCIP’s federal eligibility criteria, including:
Relevant work experience (or international graduate exemption).
Language proficiency requirements.
Educational credential recognition.
Proof of settlement funds for yourself and accompanying family members.
