Allocation of Spots

  • 30 total RCIP slots have been allocated to Claresholm for 2025.

  • Three spots will be released each month. Any unused spots will be carried forward and allocated at year-end.

  • To manage demand, Sales & Service sector occupations are capped at five total spots for 2025.

Why Priority Sectors and Occupations Matter

Only employers within the identified priority sectors can become designated employers.

For foreign workers, this means:

  • You must have a job offer in an eligible occupation.

  • Your employer must be in a priority sector and designated by Claresholm’s Economic Development Committee (EDC).

Applicants must also meet RCIP’s federal eligibility criteria, including:

  • Relevant work experience (or international graduate exemption).

  • Language proficiency requirements.

  • Educational credential recognition.

  • Proof of settlement funds for yourself and accompanying family members.

Some employers are listed as designated but are not currently hiring. They are using the RCIP to support permanent residence applications for their existing temporary foreign workers. Candidates should not contact these employers for job opportunities.

All open RCIP positions will be posted on the Canada Job Bank, which candidates should monitor and cross-reference with the designated employer list.
