Steps for the Manitoba Skilled Worker Program:

To immigrate to Manitoba through the Skilled Worker Program, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Submit an Expression of Interest to Manitoba.

First, you need to create an account on the Manitoba government website. Then, complete the form for expressing interest in the province of Manitoba. In this form, you will enter information related to your education, work experience, language skills, etc. Based on this information, your application will be scored. The maximum score is 1,000.

Step 2: Selection by the province.

The information of all applicants is stored in Manitoba’s database. Manitoba holds draws at specific intervals and announces the minimum score for that round. All individuals who score above this threshold receive a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA).

After receiving the LAA, applicants only have 60 days to submit a complete and accurate application to the province of Manitoba. Within these 60 days, you need to upload all necessary documents and input your information accurately. Then, you need to pay the Manitoba Skilled Worker Program fee, which is CAD 500, and submit your application.

Manitoba reviews the file in about 6 months. If the information and documents are approved, a provincial nomination will be issued.

Step Three: Sending the Application to the Federal Immigration Office

In the third step, after obtaining the provincial nomination from Manitoba, you need to send your application to the Federal Immigration Office.

Once you receive the provincial nomination, you have 6 months to send your application to the Federal Immigration Office. You can apply in two ways:

You can submit your application online by creating a profile in the online permanent residence portal. In this profile, you must upload scans of all your documents, pay the fee, and complete the forms digitally in the same profile.

Alternatively, you can prepare your documents on paper, pay the fee, and send them by mail. Then, the Federal Immigration Office will review your documents and information for about 15 to 19 months. During this review, your security and criminal history will also be checked. If approved, they will send you the permanent residence confirmation.
