A foreign worker must secure a recommendation before applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence and, if required, a work permit.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Workers
In addition to securing a qualifying job offer, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Work Experience: At least 1 year (1,560 hours) of related work experience within the past three years, unless eligible under the international graduate exemption.
Language Proficiency: Meet the official language requirements set by RCIP.
